The jewels in the crown of La Palma Princess must be the twelve amazing pools. Two of these are heated. The pools sit right on the beach and when inside you can feel the pool stretching on forever. Here there is also a huge sun terrace with plenty of sun traps, and a pool bar for a long cool drink to relax with.

For the active guest here there is a good gym, a tennis court and archery available. If relaxing is more your style there is a spa, with a full range of treatments available including a full body massage, whirlpool bath and Turkish bath.

The bar here is great with a full list of cocktails for you to indulge in.

In general the weather was good a little chilli and cloudy some mornings but by lunch is seemed to have cleared. The rooms were big a spacious and very clean. The food and general area were all very nice and plenty of it. You did not have to rush for the sun loungers as there were plenty.

The Spa was nice on the cloudy mornings and there is a nudist part if thats your thing.

The only small problem I felt was the bar service. It took a long time to get your drinks as it was all waitress service and if you like shopping La Palma is not the place for you. Oh yes the Gym well is not really worth putting in the brochure as its a couple of bike (old) and some weights.

But overall it was a great holiday and my partner and I enjoyed it thoroughly!

A beautifully kept hotel with excellent uncrowded pool areas and an abundence of sunbeds. An 8 acre site with lovely planted grounds and features although some of the hotel rooms are laid out in an untraditional way in blocks. It would have been nice to have had the option on booking the hotel of a room with a seaview. The food was very good with a good choice and the restaurant had lots of different eating areas i.e. some on an outer balcony candle lit and others in alcoves (get there early !) Main restaurant was open 7 till 10 morning and evening for mealtimes. Hotel not suitable for the less mobile due to the hilly location. It is in an isolated position so car hire is essential if you wish to see the lovely green island.The nearest beach is a 20 minute walk away and in the opposite direction you can walk through a lava field to reach the lighthouses of Fuencaliente, make sure you take your water with you as there are no places on route to stop and have a drink. Overall a great holiday, in a quiet and peaceful location, with beautiful scenery on this unspoilt island.
