The modern Iberostar Costa Calero is a large hotel that lies in a tranquil, pretty setting, and benefits from being near enough to the resort centre to make this trip a great evening stroll. This hotel offers plenty to do, with friendly staff, and as the hotel does not accept bookings for those under sixteen this accommodation is great for couples.
Puerto del Carmen's sandy beach is five kilometres away, reached by a free shuttle between ten in the morning and five in the afternoon. The hotel lies next to Puerto Calero marina, and is fifty metres from the local bus stop. The resort centre and the nearest bars, shops and restaurants are a hundred metres down a steep hill.

We booked this holiday quite late but found the hotel and overall venue to be excellent.
We have two young children who had a fun-filled active weeks holiday.
The hotel was very clean with friendly and helpful staff.
We had plenty of Spanish,Belgian,German,Irish and British guests.
Eveybody got on well in a very hot and laid back week.
The choice of food was superb but a trip to the neafby marina for dinner is worthwhile.
Entertainment was very good and varied.
The staff at the childrens club were very good and relaxed the children.
We wil return.

We booked this hotel through First Direct via there web site. We had never been to Lanzarote before & we were not disappointed. Flight was approx 4hrs, transfer from airport was 40mins. When we arrived there was a wedding in progress, seems its very popular especially with the Irish, 5 weddings in 2 weeks & all Irish. Hotel is spotless. Buffet style restaurant, some people complained it was repetitive but we found it fantastic. So good in fact we didnt bother booking the a la carte restaurant. Entertainment very disappointing, but there is a marina approx 5/10 mins walk away with bars & restaurants. Bedrooms very spacious & spotless. Swimming pools are also very clean. We tried out the on site spa, twice, what an experience. The weather took us by surprise as although it was windy it was still scorching, some nights it was still up in 40s. I would recommend this hotel & we will definitely be back
