Guests come back time and time again to these well-run, friendly apartments, which are ideal for couples and families. The complex is built on two levels; each benefits from its own pool and flower-filled gardens. The interiors are well-equipped, bright and comfortable, and make a great place to stay.
The accommodation benefits from a tranquil setting, three hundred metres from the promenade's bars, shops and restaurants. Eight hundred metres away lies Puerto del Carmen's main beach.

Have just returned from holiday in Lanzarote, stayed in Atalaya Apartments with husband and 4 year old child. Best holiday to date. I would recommend Atalaya Apartments to anyone (except maybe young people looking for lively entertainment in their complex). The complex is only a few minutes walk from the main strip but suprisingly very quiet, there is no entertainment in this complex. The staff are extremely friendly (particularly the guy on reception who greeted us on our fist night) and the cleaning service is second to none. The pool area and every other area of the complex is clean is a whistle and well maintained flower beds. The Apartments are equally clean and great presentation on first day (towels shaped like ducks and loo roll shaped in roses!), change of linen is no problem, apartments are very well equipped with eveything you could possibly need. There is no air conditioning but you can rent a fan from reception for €16 for the week, you can also rent many more things including DVD player from reception. There is no main restaurant in the complex but the food at the pool bar is very good and varied menu and reasonably priced. My only gripe was the bus service from Puerto Del Carmen to Tequise Market as we waited over an hour for a bus then never showed up (although the return bus trip from the market is excellent!!). A taxi for that market trip will set you back about €30.00. There are some great places to eat along the strip and plenty of choice. I recommend a day visit to Rancho Texas Park expecially if you have children with €15 for adults and €10 for a child it is well worth a visit with flying eagles, sea lion show and parrot show. I cannot comment on the local entertainment because we did not go out at night but preferred to sip wine on the balcony of our apartment because it was so quite. I will definitly be returning to Atalaya Apartments next year. H.O'Loughlin.

Have just returned from a 10 day holiday to the Atalaya Apartments in Puerto Del Carmen which I would highly recommend. Transfer from the Airport is approx 15-20 mins by coach. Reception Staff were very friendly and helpful - always willing to assist and answer any queries. If you required a taxi to take you anywhere they call them to pick you up outside the Reception. (Although should you not wish to do this Taxi ranks are located along the main strip which is approx 5 mins walk away) The apartments are set on two levels the Reception leads out to the lower level apartments. There are quite a few steps up to the Upper level apartments so can be difficult to manage for people with buggies and limited mobility. The swimming pools are cleaned every morning and the grounds are maintained daily. The pool side bar has a variety of food and drink to choose from and the prices are reasonable. The staff that work in the bar are very friendly. A Spar supermarket is located about 2 mins walk away and is open 8:00 am - 10:00 pm and has all your basics. Maid service is every day apart from Monday's and Friday's and they always knock beforehand and will work around you if you are still in the apartment. The apartment facilities are very good with everything you would require for a self-catering holiday. The Atalaya apartments are located 5 mins away from the main strip and the beach. Puerto Del Carmen has plenty of great places to eat and you will not be disappointed.
