The first time we stayed we enjoyed it and had a lovely room, but this time we felt our room was even more superior. We were in Casa Fuerte block and in room 459. Fabulous. Two sets of patio doors, the front ones opening direct onto the pool area and the second set leading onto our balcony which was completely private. If you look at any photographs of the property this room is the one in red on floor 4 overlooking the pool. We did have to wait for the room, but we were fully aware that the normal time for occupation was 2pm and we were there at 1pm. I can fully understand the previous occupants not wanting to leave the room. It was lovely. We only opted for B&B this time. Previously we had evening meal included. Breakfast was highly satisfactory offering everything from champagne, smoothies, fruit juice, water, tea, coffee, full english, waffles, pancakes, danish, in fact you name it and they had it including caviar. The position of the hotel in Costa Adeje is excellent. Close to the beach and yet quite and tasteful. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any other people and having stayed at a couple in the area, would probably only bother going back to the Gran Tacande as it is good value for money, was very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful.
