I have just returned from 5th holiday at the Conrad Hotel and already I am planning my next. All I can say it is my own little paradise which I reluctantly share with all my friends and family. I have travelled all over the world and have experienced all different hotels but can honestly say this is my favourite.
The first time I came to the Conrad it was 2005 during the bombing and although it was very traumatic the staff made sure all our needs were met and that our safety was paramount. This must have been so hard for them as I'm sure many of them were worried about their own families and friends that night.
The reason I return time and time again is for the staff first and foremost, from management down to reception, bar staff, waiters, chefs, pool attendants, activity staff, room service, laundry, domestics and even the gardners always are ready to do anything to make your holiday special and always with the biggest smiles on their faces.
The hotel is run to a very high standard always clean and well run, the food is wonderful and entertainment is excellent something for all ages.
This varies from comedy shows, belly dancing, magicians, dancers, camels and even arabian horses dancing- SUPERB.
Everytime I return I feel like I'm home and all the staff are my family.
Can't wait to return

I visited the resort with my boyfriend and 2 of our friends and we thought it was fantastic. The hotel was great and the staff were friendly and happy to help. During the day you could either relax and enjoy the sun or join in the fun with the animation team. The animation team are fun, friendly and easy to get on with. They do different types or activities during the day which with some you can win a bottle of plonk. At the hotel on a night there was a kids disco every night followed by a different show done by the animation team. You could either join in the show or just sit and watch and have a laugh with them. There is alot of trips you can go on and a water park you can visit. There are shops on the complex and just round the corner so you can buy all your gifts for people or even something for yourself. I would definately recommened this resort to friends and family and even go back myself.

We have just returned from a week at the Conrad Hotel, and I dont think it quite deserves a 5* rating, for the reasons below:-
1, On arriving in the room we had to ask for the kettle which had been removed, and bulb missing inn the bath room, keep asking for toilet rolls, clean towels not always replaced. unlike other 5* hotels in the area the air condioning went off everytime you left the room as it was operated by the room key.
2, Twice in the restaurant our table was cleared before we have fininshed our meal, we returned from the buffet to find the table cleared and someone else sitting there.
3, Room service meals still outside rooms well into the afternoon
4, the general area of the hotel grounds could be cleared of rubbish daily
I must add that there a lot of good things about the hotel, the food was good, staff very friendly, Nice decor.
The best plus was for me was that the snorkelling was excellent, apart from the few jelly fish stings, which are not too serious to worry about.

My wife and myself booked this trip after much thought, never been to this part of the world before, I was a bit aPPREHENSIVE . I must say there was no need for any worry. the whole holiday was great once you got there. The flights were fine but packed, talk about room to swing a cat, one could hardly move, If you are anywhere near 6ft,forget it, Buy extra leg room,if you can..Nowabout the hotel,We were in the CONRAD SHARM EL SHEIKH. Quite a nice hotel, the rooms were fairly large and clean, and kept that way by very good cleaners, who were also very polite, Now for the food there were two Restaurants foe the normal meals,ie. breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we only used the one,and were quite happy, I had heard stories about people getting sick and was a bit worried, but never had a problem, In fact most meals were very good, plenty of choices, andthe Restaurant staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them, The only time the restaurant was i bit of a let down was when the Russians arrived but that is another story. Evenings in the bars was ok,but the entertainment was a bit iffey but having said that the entertainment staff, were very nice. Did not like the local beer or the spirits, but that could be put down to getting old,but still managed to put enought down each night, The swimming pools and whole resort were very clean and all of the staff were great, overall a lovely relaxing and quiet holiday, and look forward to going back..

Myself and my husband have just returned from a ten day stay at the Conrad Hotel, Sharm El Sheikh. This was our first visit to Egypt and we had heard mixed reports so we went with an open mind. The whole experience was fantastic. The hotel met our expectations fully, the only downside was that the bathrooms in the rooms (certainly the block which we were in) needed refurbishment as obviously they had had a lot of wear and tear and it definitely showed. The only other downside was that we were allocated a shared terrace and if you value your privacy it is definitely a disappointment to find that you are sharing with others. Apart from these two issues everything else was first class. The outlay of the hotel and gardens, pool facilities (although, a little chilly in January, to take a dip), the selection of food and the service of the staff were first rate.
The area the hotel is situated in is a little way out to the rest of the hotels so there is no nightlife available on the doorstep, it is either catch a Shuttle Bus from the hotel into Naam Bay, a 20 to 30 minute drive away (which costs £2 per person each way), or stop at the hotel were there is their own inhouse Animation Team (which can get a bit repetitive, especially if you are staying for 2 weeks) or just have a few drinks in the comfortable bar area, so if it is nightlife that appeals, this is not an appropriate choice of hotel .
The icing on the cake was the day we first discovered snorkelling - what a brilliant experience, and right on the doorstep, after the first experience, we were hooked, we saw some amazing sights.
This was our first visit to Egypt, but all being well, definitely not the last, it was certainly one of our better holidays.

Nearby Holiday Reviews | Hazel said, "We have recently returned from Sharm on a cruise/stay holiday booked through fast track holidays. The stay part of our holiday was to be arranged by You Travel. We were put in so called 4* Sharm holiday resort which was anything but 4* and after so dispute we were told we were being upgraded to Houza Beach resort. It was an improvement on the first hotel but definately not 5* as we were advised. As previous review says nice setting good staff very friendly and good hotel reception staff and service but hotel facitlities let them down. small bar inside reception but not good seating. Large screen tv in reception area (for what tv's in rooms) a larger bar area and perhaps some music of some sort would have been nice in the evening. Entertainment laid on in evening more for teenagers !
Food in main restuarant was not very good (we think a lot of it was laid on for russian tourists at hotel) salad mostly grated carrot, grated cabbage, beetroot in sauce, cucumber only saw tomatoes once and never lettuce ! We also had to join the rugby scrum at every mealtime to get food (it appears there is no please or thank you in the russian mentality just the need to get as much food on your table or plate as possible. Breakfast ended up being the most enjoyable meal. sometimes at lunch and dinner we were filling up on bread or desert. When fruit appeared you needed to be really quick or the russians had devoured it all.
The waiters in the restuarant were really nice. we felt sorry for the way they were treated by some at the hotel.
The staff looking after the rooms also kept them clean and were friendly as were the shopkeepers and bar staff around the pool and beach.
We will not return which is a pity as the setting is perfect !!!" (further information on Conrad Hotel) | |
