We did go on a couple of trips the quad biking over the sahara desert is a must we had a fabulous time and went again following week, we also did the horse riding and the snorkelling trip. The people there are very nice we had no problems even having x2 teenagers with us, we have never gone to the same place twice and we have had some lovely carribean holidays but i must say this has beaten all holidays taken and have already booked to go back this august2008, i would like to try sister hotel opened last year laguna vista gardens if anybody has been there have a great time if you go we did !!!! recommended resort  Review by tsgarner from staffordshire on October 15, 2007 for stay during September, 2007.  Overall    Service    Room Comfort    Cleanliness    Food    Value   Tour Operator/Travel Provider: thomas cook being recommended we booked 2 weeks all inclusive at the laguna vista in september, the complex while being very big was kept exceptionally clean by the staff, the bar staff were on the whole very helpful, the pool areas were always busy and although notices were posted not to reserve sunbeds no one took any notice, a stroll down to the beach was better as no matter what time of day you went you could always have a pick of beds. should anyone think of going to this resort i would recommend going with friends as a coupkle on their own can feel isolated,the other guests were mostly made up of russians(completely ignorant please and thank you not in their vocabulary)and groups of noisy italians.the evening entertainment was very poor, the animation team only interested in speaking to the italians so the programmes were done mainly for them. bar service from the lobby bar was the only one used in the evening,as this was only about 6 feet long for some reason bar stools were placed at it, when these were used, which was most of the time, getting a drink wasn't always easy.food was always pentiful from all the dining areas,however if you used the open air which way restaurant at the beach end of the complex you had to put up with a flock of sparrows over the food areas who as soon as someone had moved away from getting their meal would descend on the serving spoons and the plates, not very pleasant.we wouldn't go to this complex again Nearby Holiday Reviews Conrad Hotel Holiday Reviews (Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt) Mrs. S. The stay part of our holiday was to be arranged by You Travel. We were put in so called 4* Sharm holiday resort which was anything but 4* and after so dispute we were told we were being upgraded to Houza Beach resort. It was an improvement on the first hotel but definately not 5* as we were advised. As previous review says nice setting good staff very friendly and good hotel reception staff and service but hotel facitlities let them down. small bar inside reception but not good seating. Large screen tv in reception area (for what tv's in rooms) a larger bar area and perhaps some music of some sort would have been nice in the evening. Entertainment laid on in evening more for teenagers ! Food in main restuarant was not very good (we think a lot of it was laid on for russian tourists at hotel) salad mostly grated carrot,grated cabbage,beetroot in sauce,cucumber only saw tomatoes once and never lettuce ! We also had to join the rugby scrum at every mealtime to get food (it appears there is no please or thank you in the russian mentality just the need to get as much food on your table or plate as possible. Breakfast ended up being the most enjoyable meal. sometimes at lunch and dinner we were filling up on bread or desert. When fruit appeared you needed to be really quick or the russians had devoured it all. The waiters in the restuarant were really nice. we felt sorry for the way they were treated by some at the hotel. The staff looking after the rooms also kept them clean and were friendly as were the shopkeepers and bar staff around the pool and beach.
