For all those seeking the relaxing atmosphere of beach life and the vibrancy of the resort centre, the Sunset Beach Hotel provides the best of both worlds.
This hotel lies along the beautiful white sands of Kotu Beach, and is central to the busy resort centre of Kotu, making it a popular choice with families and couples alike. For the convenience of our guests, the beach, lounge and pool sun terrace are all within easy walking distance.
Kotu itself offers a great selection of amenities, as well as some atmospheric bars and cafes. Whether enjoying the Fajara 18-hole golf course or exploring the Kotu Bengdula art and craft market, there is something here to keep all entertained.
Guests can benefit from bicycle hire at the hotel entrance. The resort centre with mini-market, bars, cafe and restaurants is just three hundred metres away. The 18-hole golf course is six hundred metres away.

Tour Operator/Travel Provider: Gambia Experience
This hotel was more like a holiday camp with rooms in single storey blocks with only basic and tatty fascilities. The walls were so thin that it was possible to hear much of what was going on in ajacent rooms.
Access to the beach was restricted by either having to wade through a creek with suspect water quality or scrambling along a steep, narrow, sandy bank.
To leave the hotel was to run a gauntlet of very persistent touts, beggars etc.
We put up with this for 2 days before moving to another hotel.
The Gambia Experience were most uncooperative. We will never travel with them again.
