The Indian Ocean Beach Resort recalls the days when the rich sultans of Zanzibar were omnipotent on Kenya's Swahili coastline, with its opulent furnishing, Moorish-style archwaysand pampering available at all times. During the day time why not dip into the plunge pools, or simply lie down and gaze out to sea under the palm trees.
Afternoon tea is served outside under the iconic baobab tree, sometimes dinner is too. Tennis courts are available, and there is an impressive golf course at Leisure Lodge nearby, for the more active guests.

Holiday Review
This is our third time at the IOBC and our expectations are always met, and at times improved on. Relaxed, laid-back, with plenty to do, or not. Small enough (100 rooms) to enjoy lively conversations with fellow guests, and to improve one's language skills! Excellent service with time for individual requirements to be met. The food is excellent, plentiful, and delivered with aplomb! Evening entertainment is always of interest and well done, as is dancing afterwards, though some live bands are on hold as the hotels in Kenya rebuild their client base. Needless to say we are going back again in 2010 for 4 weeks.
Quality
This hotel would give any equivalent star rated hotel in Europe a god run for their money, and probably win!!
Service
Excellent, discreet, what else do yuo need?

Entertainment
