At the Sun N Sand Beach resort all you're really need are your clothes and sun tan lotion, as nearly everything else is provided at this all inclusive hotel. Children will love splashing and sliding down the slide channel that links two of the four pools and there's plenty to keep the adult's happy too. The hotel's friendly staff will make sure you're entertained, setting up activities such after dinner tribal dances and visits to the neighbouring school.
In the hotel's restaurant buffet you'll be able to experience cuisine from around the world; African food, Spanish food - there's a different theme each night. After dinner why not take a stroll through the hotel's acres of green lawns or perhaps down to the white sands of the beach to watch the Indian Ocean under the sunset? At the bar you'll find both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of each cocktail so you're sure to find the right colourful concoction for you. At the Sun N Sand Beach Resort you'll want for nothing.

I had a terrible stay here in December 2007. This hotel is situated in a quite isolated area, and is a secure compound. This can lead to a feeling of being trapped in the complex. The taxi's are crazily expensive, and the public buses are scary ( i tried them). The hotel itself is very 70's in decor despite a recent refurb (apparently). The finish was very poor in the rooms - especially the bathrooms. The food was ok with a good range to choose from, but everyone I spoke to suffered from diahorrea - i know i did for the duration.(sorry) The "beach" is a narrow strip of sand but is un-usable due to beach boys pestering the life out of you. The sea is un-swimmable due to shallowness and dangerous sea urchins and sharp dead coral. It is almost completely devoid of any sea life and I suspect it is polluted, as I noticed a lot of bubbly frothyness gathered at the tide line! To top the experience off, when we went on safari at the end of the holiday, our safe was broken into leading to the loss of £2200 in cash and cards - fantastic!
Dont believe the broschure!

Hotel - On first impressions the hotel was impressive, views towards the sea are amazing, service was excellent. The food was fantastic, a must try is the chinese, not much variety but very nice. Entertainment was good, varied each night, best was the Masai Dancers. Hotel staff are especially freindly and certainly make the holiday. Beach boys are a bit of a pain, but ignore them and they generally tend to go away. If your wanting beach this hotel definately isnt for you. Beach consists of a lot of rocks and reef! Safari is a must do, words cant explain how amazing it is. We spent three days in the Masai Mara, and saw everything but a rhino. In the Masai you can visit the Masai villlages at a little extra cost, where they show you around their houses and put on traditional tribal dances etc. Be wary when you book your holiday especially if your safari is booked as an add on to your beach stay. We booked seven days by the beach and paid extra for the safari, so you would think that your beach room is all paid for. NO this is not the case. We had to pay an extra $60 to keep our room on for the three days we were on safari. Make sure your tour operator gives you a gaurantee that you wont have to pay extra. This holiday was definately worth the money and i will definately be going back.
one of my favourite holidays

Last minute booking as we had already been away at the beginning of the year and we wanted a sun break and this holiday was better value than going to a Greek Island as we had a budget . Couldn`t book a Safari in the UK as it was a hotel only booking but paid £200 each for a 3 day Tsarvo Safari which included 2 superb hotels with eve meal, breakfast, acccommodation and safari - fabulous but insist on an itinerary as we had a 5 hour stay at a Lodge with pool, loungers and towels and we had no swimming costumes and it was very hot that day. Livingston, Airtours rep, not very good and I am e-mail ing tour operator about him. If you like to have a wander outside your hotel, then this hotel is not for you - no where to go. Beach boys deter you from going on the beach. Fantastic selection in the buffet restaurant but other restaurants on site small with limited menus. Take small change/notes for staff tipping. Drive on the l/h/side and 3 pin plugs standard.
