Les Jardins De La Koutoubia is a sumptuous hotel that lies within the ancient walls of the medina, just a stone's throw from the famous Koutoubia Mosque. The atmospheric thronging streets have roaming mules and bartering merchants to immerse you in authentic Morocco, whilst the hotel provides a charming contrast, with its soothing piped music and attentive, welcoming staff. This impressive hotel is a fabulous place to stay; guests can inhale the sweet aroma of exotic incense in the vast reception area, with gleaming marble, warm shades of burnt amber and a delicately-carved wooden ceiling. The hotel's check-in desk lies down a sweeping stairway, with towering glass doors beyond that provide the gateway to the hotel's exquisite centrepiece, a peaceful swimming pool flanked by fragrant flowers and elegant sunloungers.
Guests have ample space to soak up the sun here, whilst the plump sofas dotted around the open-fronted lounge that looks out onto the pool make a wonderful place to relax. Holidaymakers can recline here with a good book and a cool drink as they enjoy a little time to unwind. The rooms here are fantastically luxurious, featuring ebony wood and vibrant red rugs that provide a stylish contrast with the fresh cream shades used. The living quarters receive a contemporary twist from modern artwork, and shuttered doors bring guests to an en-suite bathroom of polished marble and brass. The restaurants here are excellent as well, making this a wonderful place for a holiday.
The light, airy international restaurant offers a great variety of flavours, whilst the patio gardens provide a luxurious place to dine amongst sweet-scented blooms; fine North African cuisine can also be enjoyed in a traditional Moroccan setting. The rooftop restaurant offers something a little different, with stunning vistas of the Koutoubia mosque as the call of the muezzin sounds from the ancient minaret. Guests can also enjoy the sultry piano bar, plenty of tranquil lounges, and several lovely massage rooms, ensuring this holiday will be a truly memorable one.

We stayed for one week in March. The weather was better than expected (up to 30c). There are a variety of restaurants in the hotel all of which serve nice food but it is not cheap! One of the restaurants (indian/moroccan) had nice food but the service was ridiulously over fussy. The spa is excellent but again charges full european 5 star prices. The hotel is in an excellent location close to the souks etc. However, it was also very quiet despite its central location (the calls to prayer from the adjacent Koutoubia mosque at 5am you get used to!).
We would definitely return to the hotel if we go back to Marrakech.

The room was lovely, but nearly every day, we found our patio door unlocked, after the maid cleaned, and although we complained it still h..." (further information on Les Jardins De La Koutoubia)
