R SIMMONS said, "I visited this hotel in march 2007 with my wife and some adult friends. The food was very good and the hotel cleanliness was excellent.
The 2/3 pools and the beach are excellent and very clean and well looked after. The beach is reached through the gardens and seems to go on for ages. The sea is blue and clear and you must dip your toes whilst your there.
The staff wanted a tip for everything they did for you, whilst this is not a problem, it does become annoying when the bell boy wants tip for bringing your safe deposit key to your room?
The staff in the resturant are excellent though, you keep the same table for the whole of your stay, therefore you keep the same waiter.
our waiter was enformed it was my birthday whilst i was away and when i entered the resturant the lights had beea dimmed and candles placed on every table. A two piece band had set up within the resturant and played happy birthday as i entered! How embarrassing. I was later given a cake and champagne at the table. I have been infoprmed this was all free of any charge! excellent what more can i say.....
We also ate in the al la carte resturant and can honestly say that this was amazing.
Whilst the westher was not the best, it did not rain and we could sun bathe for five of the seven days and had a tan when we returned.
Hammamet does not seem the welcoming of resorts especially for the females, but if you stick to the main tourist places and females keep with your male company and all will be fine. All i can say is learn to say "NO" and mean it.
The bazars are fun, try them you might enjoy yourself..
All in all a good holiday was had by all." (further information on Hotel Bel Azur)
