Hotel Villa Cojimar Holiday Reviews

Cuba Holiday Reviews

Villa Cojimar is a Cuban-style hotel composed of bungalow type rooms, set in isolation on a quiet beachfront location. This is a hotel with a relaxed ambience to suit those seeking a peaceful holiday away from it all. On the stretch of fine white-sand beach of Cayo Guillermo, to the north of Ciego de Avila province, of easy access by land through a causeway, 20 km away from the Cayo Coco airport. The oldest of the four Cayo Guillermo hotels (built in 1992), this Gran Caribe hotel is one of the cheapest options on the cays, and the rooms are being remodeled.

What can I say???? Just come back from a fabulous two weeks in this hotel. Having read several different reviews I was a little aprehensive to say the least.
From the moment we arrived we were treated so well, all the staff went out of their way to help us and were very friendly.
We had room 123 which was a beach bungalow and was one of the very few that has not yet been refurbished. It was clean and the maid service was exellent, and that is all anyone can ask.
The sunrise from that room had to be seen to be believed!
I would say to anyone going there not to be in the least bit worried, you will have a fabulous holiday. And that is coming from, shall we say, a more mature person who had quite a few reservations.
The only thing that you could say was a slight downside, is the food gets to be a little "samey" after a while, but you can always find something to eat and that's the main thing.
Hopefully we will be able to go back at some point, depends how hard we work! But I would have NO problem in going back to this lovely hotel.

    will go back

had 2 fabulous weeks staff cant do enough for you my favorite was chef on lunchtime grill bar
entertainment staff tops again dont let any 1 sit being lonely
we took our grand daughter only 5 months old they bent over backwards to please especially Louise
from the dance team what a star.
from the management to the gardeners they were so pleased to help with out expecting anything
at first you look at the little bungalows and think oh dear this will be drab painted blue and yellow
but once inside and a good nights sleep your in paradise.
dont be shy to walk the beach to the other hotels its the best beech walk ever
Sundays are good as the locals come with there families take them a few beers as its quite expensive for Cubans to buy and hotel are happy for you to do this and see them smile.
we walked right out into the sea and it only came to our knees
our Cuban rep was 1st class always ready to help and let onto you.
i can honestly say although the area is very quiet and nights are hotel based we wish we had stayed longer than the 14 days as it went so fast.

big hello to all and we will be back
