Me my patner and family spent two weeks in this fantastic resort we can only speak higley of the staff they could not do enough for all of us. Its is defenitly a hoilday of a life time fantastic weather and great trips, Havana is a must for all ages, book your trips with your rep at the start of your hoilday then sit back and relax. dissapointing. the food that was serve to us was spoiled, especially the butter. we understand
it, because you just recovering from IKE hurracane.

We have been to Playa Pesquer 3 times in the passed 3 years and 5 times to Cuba, this is
by far the best vacation for us. We are thinking of going back in January but have just heard
from our Travel Agent that Playa Pesquero was hit by the hurricane, If you have been to

For was very useful read those reviews but I had my own experience and was fantastic, cubans are given a lesson to world, they are very organized and working very hard for recuperating of the huracan damage.

i went to cuba last year for my honeymoon we stayed at the playa pequero hotel all inclusive. It was such a special time obviously as it was my honeymoon and also I was pregnant with my first child honesly it was the best hoilday I have ever been on I cant fault it and im going back in three weeks with my husband and my little boy who is now 7 months and I cant wait. If you ever have the chance to go please do its total paradise I didnt want to leave and cant wait to go back.

We stayed here for the last two weeks of April 08 and had an absolutely wonderful time. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to any one who wants to enjoy the sunshine in a beautiful environment with a friendly vibe, great food, drink, and brilliant service at a fantastic price. If I ever find a holiday thats better value for money I will be completely amazed! Weather was great too.
We loved everything about it, the beach is just lovely and the pool is immense, clean and well stocked with sunbeds and shades, the grounds are absolutely pristine and the staff just great.
The food was brilliant and I cant believe there have been complaints about it. Even if you didn t go the the a la carte restaurants ( You d be stupid not to, they re great! A special word for the vegetarian ..... It was absolutely superb and empty a lot of the time so make sure you book it) there was loads of choice, loads of pre cooked food but if you're fussy like me ( I like to know its all hot and fresh after a bad experience in Majorca!!) pasta cooked to order, steak, veal, pork, chicken, fish, king prawns ( they d cost a fortune here!) all cooked fresh in front of you! What more could you want ? The deserts were delicious too and I must say at the time we were there everyone was blown away by it. I only met one couple who thought the food could be better ( what they re used to eating I cannot imagine!).
There s a lot of debate about whether its 5 star, well in my opinion ( for what its worth) for the facilities and activities it definitely is but I think what people dont like when they complain that its not a 5 star all inclusive is the fact that its not "exclusive" by that I mean it is affordable for more of the population and we all make use of it! Thank goodness or we wouldn t have been able to go, Cuba and the Dom Rep have definitely opened up the Carribean to a whole host of us by making it more affordable and I think thats great. I think if you are expecting to have 5 star luxuary and exclusivity you ll have to pay four or five times the price!! The Playa Pesquero bedrooms are not totally luxurious in the decor and the rooms dont have "boutiquey" style bathrooms but they are very roomy , clean and very pleasant to be in, the bed was very comfortable, there s a TV, fridge iron and ironong board, sofa, free toiletries, beer and soft drinks and most importantly aircon! PLUS the shower s nice and powerful and there was always hot water!
No problem with mosquitos either when we were there, the buggy came around every night and sprayed so I only got 1 bite the whole time .
The trip to Havanna was great, opened our eyes!! Enjoyed the tropicanna show and the tour around, all in all it was pretty good value for money. Also enjoyed the green and blue jeep tour of the surrounding countryside which was brilliant. ( You get to drive a speed boat too which was a lot of fun!)
Even the little train into Guardelavaca is good fun and a nice way to spend half a day and some peso s.
There is only one thing that I think can be improved upon and thats for the sunbeds on the beach to have mattresses! Dont know about you but if thats all there is to complain about I think they deserve a medal!!
If you ve booked this hotel, sit back and relax in the knowledge that your going to love it! When you get there Enjoy!!! Wish it was me.
We will definitely return in the future but until then I shall be searching for somewhere else to equal the Pesquero s standards at the same cost but I doubt very much that I will succeed.

Hi : Don Harding here- As I said ,I would do a review when I returned.
This was with out adout a fantastic vacation. We ( Andrea my wife and myself ) had never been to Cuba before, but we were told alot of different opinions of Cuba. Some said do not take alot of money
because there is nothing to spend it on, the food was bland and had no taste, you would be lucky to find salt and pepper on the tables. Others said the people were great. I would have to say it must depend on whereyou stay. This resort was laid out very well, it wasn't to far to get to the restaurants
or the bars. The pool area was very large with lots of cots , plus with the beach being so beautiful many people were at the beach so ethier way there was lots of room and this was with the resort completly full. We did not have a problem getting food we liked, chicken , pork, cold cuts, salads. In fact we found a restaurant called " Romantic " We liked so much we went twice, why only twice? because it was so booked thats all we could get in. The reataurant was air conditioned with waiters and waitresses, very professional. One night we had lobster and steak the next we had pork tenderlon.
The people were very friendly in all areas- wait staff, customer relations, grounds workers etc. There
were plenty of excursions to go on. I could go on but I think you get the picture. There is one thing you
should look into and that would be the V.I.P. lounge at the air port on the trip home. It cost 20 pesos
each and it was at the most 15 min. by the time we got off of the bus through baggage check paid our
airport tax and through customs and up to the lounge. It was air conditioned we had drinks a snack
and got to watch T.V. , then we got to board the plane first. I don't no if it is allowed but if you have any

I have just returned from this amazing resort with 17 family and friends and nothing but fantastic comments were to be heard by all. We are all looking into returning next year in fact!
To be honest, I read a few reports before we left and there was a mixed bag of comments, some of which said that there was glass on the beach, I dont see how this could have been so as glasses were not allowed here plastic cups were given from the bar, and we actually looked out for this and found no glass!
With regards to food - there was sooooooooooo much choice every single day, morning, lunchtime and evening, to suit everybody not just 'meat eaters' fresh fish, seafood, salads and pasta were always available.
The swimming pool is huge and very clean, they also provide entertainment around the pool for the young and the older throughout the whole day.
We actually got married here and the wedding co-ordinator was brilliant, so professional and arranged everything exactly how we asked her to.
The staff throughout the whole complex were so friendly and helpful and they could not do anymore for us, the maid left gifts on the bed every morning and the rooms were 'spotless' they also change the sheets and towels everyday.
The entertainment every evening was amazing - there was a mini disco for the little ones then a pianist and opera singer in the lobby until 7:30 then entertainment in the theatre was great, ballet, dancing, singing - something for everybody and Very Professional and Talented performers.
Overall, this hotel does deserve the 5* rating that it comes with, we will definately go back, it was the best holiday we have all been on so far, and we have been on many, and 17 people cant all be wrong!

I'm doing this the opposite way around. This will be my first time to Cuba. I have been to Panama and the Mayan Riviera. This was a last minute decission and I do have to admit the agent from Marlin Travel was excellent with her help in picking this resort. We were considering another resort that was recomended by discount travel agency. The resort was Blau Costa Verde. We were told it was a four star, but in fact had been dropped to a three and a half star, which we were not told. Being as our last two trips were through Thomas Cook now Marlin the agent indicated my wife might not be happy at this resort. I asked her to tell us the truth , and she recomended the Playa Pesquero. There were other resorts that were priced higher, she said this was the best value for the money. I started this search on Monday March 17/08 and I picked my tickets up March19/08 flying out March 22/08. This might be normal but I was very impressed. I was speaking to my server at the local coffee shop this morning , and he has been to this resorttwice he likes it so much. Having said all of this I am going to Playa Pesquero for two weeks and I will have a report when I come back. I do hope you print this, I think it is an excellent idea to have a before and after opinion. Thanks Donna from Marlin Travel.
