With a lagoon-like swimming pool set in a forest of palm trees the Melia Caribe is simply a tropical paradise. The hotel's own lush gardens will lead you to one of the longest pieces of beach to found in the Dominican Republic. There you'll be able to relax on sunloungers shaded by coconut-thatched beach umbrellas. You can either walk from the hotel to the beach or go by miniature train! When you've finished tanning to perfection why not try some of the activities on offer. You can try anything from snorkelling to windsurfing, boules to football and much, much more. Pampering and relaxation is also on offer at the hotel's spa with its own whirpool and Turkish baths. Ten a la carte restaurants are also on offer here so you can have pasta at the Italian one night and tender steak at the American Grill the next. A fun pub, sports bar, lobby bar and even a swim-up bar at the pool complete this fantastic resort.

Holiday Review
The overall resort was very good. The only problem we had was getting washcloths and someone understanding what I was saying. The room was clean, the people were very friendly. I wish with the resort there would have been more to do. We had a 13 and 17 year old boy with us and basically there was nothing at the resort for them except swimming. I also wish the casino was bigger.
The best service we have ever had was at the all inclusive eating places which included two. The waiters could not do enough, was very friendly and courteous and we enjoyed them very much. Our family consisted of 8 people.
Quality
Very good.
Service
The service could have been better. We would have to call two or three times and then we still did not get our washcloths that we needed. There were 3 in our room and we only had one. I had to use the big towel to wash with. Every day there would be clean towels but never washclothes.
Food
Excellent.
Entertainment
Average.

went on our honeymoon. service was good but good luck getting the free bottle of rum they promised. we had to complain 3 times before we finally got a bottle of champagne and some fruit. beautiful resort with a very relaxing feel. air conditioner broke and we wanted a room closer to the beach (which they had promised before we went on the vacation) so they finally switched us on the 3rd day of our 7 days. this was a hassle as dealing with the front desk is very hard. they are so busy with new guests arriving all the time. maybe we just had bad luck but we still liked it. very beautiful place
