We read a few reports on this hotel and they seemed to be quite good. Well we will not be going back. The rooms are clean but the bathrooms were in much need of renovating the air conditioning unit was rusty the wardrobe was just a hole in the wall so when the air conditioning was on you clothes got damp. The 2 pools were realy small and the man made beach in front of the hotel was not good the sea was 10ft deep at the edge of the beach and the beaches at each side were not nice.we love jamaican food but the food at this hotel was of poor quality and the food presentation was also poor the food hygene was top draw we only heard of one person being ill but that probably was not the food.dont even bother with the alacarte we all had different meals and none of them were nice, patrick in the lobby bar was the best cocktail maker he was brilliant and the animation team worked very hard and were always ready for a laugh onneil and senita were the pick of the good team although I said the food was not good quality we did not go hungry
the beach grill always had something good during the day.
We are going back to jamaica in february but not to this hotel .never again

In 2006,we came across this beautiful resort by accident. The customer comments in the brochure were very good and the idea of having our own little cottage right on the beach wasvery romantic. As
the holiday was a special celebration we splashed out on first class flights and a beach cottage. When we arrived in a thunderstorm and got transported through dismal countryside on unmade roads we thought we had made a terrible mistake, but when we turned into the resort everything suddenly came right. The Club Carribbean is an oasis in quite a desolate wilderness, but the warmth of the people made us feel at home as soon as we stepped off the bus.It was still pouring with rain and we had been travelling for more than 20 hours, but after we had booked in and been escorted to our cottage,we returned to the buffet restaurant and saw the wonderful range of food available, even though it was gone 9.00 pm. Throughout the holiday there was always plenty of choice almost all of the day and night. Overnight the weather changed dramatically and hot sunshine stayed with us throughout the next 2 weeks, with very occasional sharp showers to cool us down.On this visit we did very little apart from eat, drink and sleep. There were plenty of activities and entertainment for the more active, with trips to golf courses, swimming with dolphins, white water rafting and shopping in Ochos Rios, but we were there for a complete rest, and it could not have been better. On the day we left,it was pouring with rain again, but we knew that it would not last long.We promised ourselves that if we could ever afford it we would return, and we did last year.Often when you return to the same place, you find the second visit is not as good as the first, but at this resort it was every bit as good. We did not have a beach cottage this time, but the garden cottages are just as good and much cheaper. As soon as we got home we were on the computer looking for a good deal to go back again in 2008,and with Thomas Cook we found one which was even cheaper than the 2007 holiday. Now we can't wait to get back to see the friendly staff, sample the wonderful food, drink the amazing cocktails, and burn up in the almost constant sun once more.If you are looking for a real value for money holiday in the sun,you will have to go a long way to find a resort better than the Royal Decameron Club Caribbean at Runaway Bay in Jamaica.
