Thought it was time we added our review as this is the second visit, we went with friends in 2006 and had a fabulous holiday. The resort is really good if you want to just relax by the pool or on the beach, or if you want to go on trips. There's lots to do for kids with the excellent entertainment staff. The rooms are spacious, very clean and have a fridge which is filled up every other day with bottles of corona and soft drinks, including water. The hotel is very clean and they are constantly cleaning and painting etc. The staff are very helpful. The entertainment is good and the bars around the pool and the hotel are excellent as you can have whatever brands you like. The food is second to none, there is something to eat for everyone, including vegetarians. The waiters are very helpful and polite as are all the staff throughout the complex. The pool area is brilliant, very clean and lovely gardens, the swim up bar execellent with lots of soft drinks as well as beers available. The shop is a little expensive so better to take your own toiletries etc. There are no bugs or mosquitos, only little gekkos and some type of raccoon that go around in droves that live at the back of the complex near the golf course, again they are no bother (actually quite cute little things!) The beach is beautiful but crowded, as they had a hurricane in 2007 so part of it has been washed away. The sea is clear and warm but not much marine life, but if you take in some bread the fish do come and swim around you. There are lots of water sports etc and use of the Yucatan facilities is great. No body is selling time share or mithering you for anything, it's just totally relaxing. We went on a few trips, Chichen Itza was really good but very hot and no shadey areas so take a cap and a brolly if possible. We flew there in a 6 man plane as the drive is i think about 3 hours. Xcaret is a theme park again was good and the night show was excellent and then we went on the Mayan discovery which took us underground into caves to swim which was a bit scarey but so well organised, then we went into the ocean to kayak and snorkel over corals then we went to a mayan place for a meal. We had such a great time we decided to go back again this year but we just did a total chill, no trips, just lazed by the pool or went to the beach. We would definately recommend this holiday and I'm sure we will go back again.

Had a fantastic holiday. Went in a party of 54 for my friends wedding it was brilliant could not complain about anything. At first wondered where we were landing seeing all the trees flattened and buildings crumbled to the ground, but they did have a hurricane the previous year, airport was not a nice experience though, lots of queues and every man for themselves? on the coach saw a mini tornado, hope im not putting you off? Arrived at the hotel, from there everything was excellent. The rooms were very clean, mini bar great, real corona beer. Only down side was they had closed one pool for painting so some days was hard to get a sunbed. The food , oh the food expect to put at least a stone on in weight it was amazing. Was careful the first week as i needed to get into my wedding outfit but after that i went for it. Do some excursions, would recommend swimming with dolphins, im scared of water but went along to watch. A must is cocoa bongos nightclub in cancun, what an experience, only takes about 45mins in a mini bus well worth every penny, if you book it before you go youll get a reserved area where only your party is allowed to enter and youll also get a server who goes to the bar and gets you your drinks all night, the shows are amazing, all this for about £30 including the mini bus, we booked through an excursion shop not the holiday reps, cheaper. All together this was a fantastic holiday hope you enjoy it as much as we did. P.S. The wedding was beautiful, they had it on the beach, was red hot we all went in the sea after to cool off.
