The Aventura Spa Palace is a hotel that makes its guests feel like royalty, with fabulously attentive staff and luxurious, spacious rooms that benefit from stylish decor. Guests will find a glamorous whirlpool bath made for two in the corner, whilst on the balcony there is a cosy two person hammock; these are just a few of the things here that are made for two. The Aventura Spa Palace is a wonderful adults-only hotel which is perfect for couples with only themselves to please.
Couples can head down to one of the six lovely a la carte restaurants for a romantic candle-lit dinner, which makes a lovely end to any day. The complex is situated in eighty-five acres of verdant tropical jungle and is flanked by majestic palms and stunningly landscaped lawns. The Aventura Spa Palace benefits from an outstanding beachfront location, with lagoon-like beaches, pure white sands and fabulously warm waters. Couples here can make the most of a wide variety of facilities that have been carefully designed to provide complete relaxation, including a yoga hut, a meditation garden and a Zen walking labyrinth. The spa here is said to be the biggest in all of Latin America, allowing holidaymakers to indulge and unwind with an array of treatments. Guests can enjoy a soothing body massage or a mud wrap, whilst the more energetic can choose from activities that include kayaking, volleyball and tennis, as well as a 100-foot climbing wall and an obstacle fitness trail. Whether guests are seeking a totally laid-back or an energetic getaway, or even a bit of both, this is a fabulously romantic retreat.
Puerto Aventura's resort centre is a kilometre away and Playa del Carmen Village is eighteen kilometres away. Taxis are available 24 hours each day. The accommodation is located among three white sand inlets, one of which lies next to the main pool.

I would like to write about my experience in Puerto Aventuras.. Let me just say.. This is a one of the nicest places I have stayed on the Mayan Riviera..I stayed at the Spa Aventuras palace for 1 week then we moved over to the Barcelo Resort for a week..Now both of these places say they are in Puerto Aventuras but actually these resorts are located a 1/2 mile north(Spa) and a 1/2 south(Barcelo)..Not to fret though..There is a shuttle provided by Gringo Daves( restaurant/Patio bar/Adventure and shuttle service)..Before I get ahead of myself..Lets start with The Spa Aventuras Palace..I check in on March 10..I was looking for a relaxing time before the spring breakers showed up..Well I got what I was looking for..The resort is set on a beautiful beach so white and the water so clear..You would swear you were in a post card..The room it self was nicely decorated with the nice comfy beds..The bars and restaurants are pretty good for a all-inclusive resort..There are several to choose from..Of course a mexican, then there is a Japanese, Brazilian, and a few bars with bar food..The buffet they offer is descent but of course you wouldn't want to eat it everyday..As I mentioned before the best food I found was at this place called Gringo Daves(located in the marina)..There is a free shuttle that will pick you up and transport you to the Marina.I am not sure but I think the ladies name was Anna for the shuttle(9841391607)..I think that is it?Also Gringo will give the whole party a free Maragarita..The Mahi Mahi I had was fixed in a tequila..With steamed veges and rice..The fish came out with a uniquely delicious texture and flavor that I have never tasted before..They also have the Swim with Dolphin experience and lots of little shops in the marina..Anyway back to my final opinion..The quiet I was looking for was there..Then the one day I didn't feel like relaxing I went to Gringo daves and was very impressed with the entertainment and service they gave us..The swimming with the dolphins was also one of the most magnificent things you can experience in your life.I will do a separate blog for the Barcelo Resort
