You can wander along through the lush vegetation of the Kurpark towards the Alpen Therme, a famous spa center. Here, relaxing is of the highest priority. You will be treated to wonderful massages and can enjoy a dip in the pools, filled with cleansing thermal waters. These are the most famous and most attractive feature of the Gastein Valley.
Walking is an absolute delight in this area. Marked footpaths stretch out into the stunning mountains right from the village. Along your wanders, you will find many mountain huts serving delicious local foods. An organic brewery is also in the area, serving wonderful refreshments and giving tours of the brewing process. For a more adventurous hike, take the summer lift higher into the mountains for some breathtaking views and you can buy a walking pass locally to give better access to the lifts with a free walking map included.

History lovers will enjoy a trip to the Weitmoserschlössl Castle and the stunning historic architecture lining this beautiful village's streets. There is also a famous glitzy casino in the area, so take an evening off, who knows, you might get lucky!
