For getting around Traunkirchen,Ebensee and Altmunster,you can use there excellent services of the train,bus or boat,they will give you a great start in exploring the nearby villages and resorts.
But if you prefer to see around by foot,then there are a great array of relaxing stolls around the village and lake itself to enjoy,and there is a weekly guided walking programme organised by the Tourist Office.
If you want a more challenging walk then the ramblers amongst you will be in 7th heaven with the 150km of marked paths and trails to get stuck in to,and can be found in all three villages.
If you still have time to fit in some more sightseeing whilst you are away then be sure not to miss the Sound of music & Salzburg or the Cesky Krumlov to name but a few.There are reduced prices for the children aged 12years and inclusive.
