St. Wolfgang is a traditional centre and is hugely renowned for its beautiful 15th century church.The town is oozing with charm and character and you can follow the endless cobbled streets and admire the pretty terrace shops and cafes, all of which have a spectacular view of the lakes. If you are wanting to take a trip to the nearby resorts then there is a great way of getting there, the lake steamers are great fun and give you views from all angles,on the other hand you might like to experience the rack and pinion railways,taking you to the very peak of the Schafberg. St. Wolfgang is a magical and captivating resort ,and you will be taken in by the culture and music there is to enjoy.
Activities are massive here and the list is endless, what to choose from first is your only worry, you might like to try the watersports the lake offers such as sailing, waterskiing, wake boarding, or even take a dip in the water.But if you prefer to stay in an indoor swimming pool then one can be found at the Hotel Im Weissen Ross (with exception to july and august).With such fantastic views from the lake you could hire a pedalo,rowing boat or motorboats to really experience the breathtaking scenery.Other activites to try are golf, cycling , a game of tennis or a Horse and Carriage ride.

The small staff numbers made a nice change from the normal hotels we have stayed in and added to the personal touch. The hotel is run by a mother, father and son with a cleaner, who was like a ghost- the rooms were always clean but she kept herself very inconspicious!!!
