For the non-walkers there are many opportunities for bus excursions to other towns and villages in the area as well as to some of the most spectacular views of glaciers and waterfalls. Children under the age of 12 are admitted to the excursions for half price. Westendorf has a good mix of bars, cafes, shops and restaurants as well as an outdoor pool complex, tennis and squash courts, mini-golf and a fantastic outdoor play area for children. The unique local spirit is still alive and expresses itself through the many festivals and parades which highlight the village life almost daily during the summer.
