The traditional ski resort of Chamonix is set at the foot of Europes highest mountain,the outstounding Mont Blanc at a staggering 4807m high.With the town offering an a bundance of shops, bars and restaurants to wet everybodys appetite.The skiing covers 5 seperate areas and offers all levels of skiers and snowboaders the chance to work on their skills.The resort of Argentiere is just 8kms further up the Valley from Chamonix and you can catch the local bus service to go between the two (free with your lift pass).
The Apres Ski scene is both lively and entertaining with plenty to do and Chamonix offers a great selection of bars to try including Jekyll, Bar'd Up, The Pub, Casino, and Chambre Neuf.Whilst the nightlife in Argentiere is of a more informal and calming atmosphere.
If you fancy a change from skiing then you might like to try your hand at some different activities and Chamonix has plenty on offer including a very impressive sports centre with tennis and squash courts, indoor heated swimming pool with waterslides.Try your skills at heli skiing, paragliding, ice skating or a sleigh ride.There is also a fitness centre with sunbeds ,sauna and turkish bath for a truly relaxing afternoon. 9 results were found.
