The village itself has a charming traditionally French atmosphere to it. Overlooking the Upper Tarantaise valley, it stretches into the surrounding mountains, opening up to fantastic views of the Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa. The skiing slopes are suitable for all levels, offering great snow and unforgettable scenery to complement your descends.
The resort has a varied and vibrant apres ski life. Entertainment ranging from karaoke, to quiet traditional bars to animated stylish restaurants is available, so you are guaranteed to have a good time, no matter what your preferences are. The local fondues, served in many of the eateries, are definitely worth trying to experience distinctive alpine flavours,but a traditional 3 course meal can also be found here to.
A number of activities is available both on and off the slopes. For fun in the snow, enjoy the weekly torchlight descent followed by the Ski Show, take a snowkiting lesson or explore the local area in snowshoes. La Rosière 1850 is also home to a bowling alley, an ice skating rink and even a two screen cinema, so daily doses of fun are guaranteed. | The Chalet Paula is only three minutes from the ski school meeting point and situated in the centre near to the pistes in the Grand Paradis building.
The chalet has maintained a traditional savoyarde style within the one building and each chalet has a dining/lounge area plus a south facing balcony (except from the Apart chalet Aline) which has no balcony but a fireplace.Guests will also find the Whizz Kids Club and the Pepi Penguin Creche on the ground floor,they also benefit from the services of chalet hosts and a sauna to relax in after a long day on the slopes.
All the meals cooked are hearty and filling starting with the wholesome breakfast in the morning, break for a cup of tea in the afternoon and end the day with a three course evening meal where there is local wine and coffee included (6nights per week).They also cater for early children's meal and don't miss the farewell feast at the end of your stay !
The apart chalet Paula (third floor) sleeps 9-11 people with a single room (RM 1), a twin room with a shared balcony (RM 2), one double bedroom with a private balcony (RM3), and room (4) is a twin, each has a en suite shower plus washbasin. There are also two bunk beds (suitable for children only) that are located in the cabin room (RM6). A seperate bathroom with two seperate wc's. Under the eaves is a triple on the mezzanine level and this is accessed by steep stairs and has a en suite shower and a wc (RM 5). Please note that room five is not suitable for young children due to the steep stairs access.
The Chalet Paula has not forgotten about the infants travelling and have free use of the cots and cot linen (please request at time of booking), staff will heat the baby food and can organise a selection of baby food too, there is alos free use of the bottle sterilizers, changing mat, potties, non slip mats and toilet step and seat.

| The Crystal Chalet Florette boasts an excellent central position just 3 minutes' from the ski school meeting point on foot and close to the pistes in the stunning Grand Paradis' building.The apart-chalets have been built in the traditional Savoyarde style to keep an authentic atmosphere about the property. All of the chalets sport a lounge/dining area with a gorgeous south-facing balcony (except for Apart-chalet Aline which has a fireplace but no balcony).
There are some great features on offer ranging from a sauna to relax in and the services of the Crystal Chalet Hosts to the Crystal Pepi Penguin Creche and Whizz Kids Club (on the ground floor) - perfect for keeping the little ones amused.
Apart-chalet Florette is located on the second floor and sleeps 8 -10 people (all room numbers are shown in brackets). There are two single rooms with a shared bathroom and WC (rooms 1 and 6). There is a twin room with a shared balcony (room 2) and a double room also with a shared balcony (room 3). There is a twin room (room 4) and all rooms 2-4 benefit from their own en suite showers and washbasins. There are two further bunk beds available for kiddies only in a cabin room (room 5). In addition, there is another separate WC.
Ideal for families, the Chalet Florette has some great offers for parents with infants. There is a FREE use of cots and cot linen (please ask at time of booking), baby food can be heated up by our staff and there is also a selection of baby food available. You also have FREE use of bottle sterilizers, changing mat, toilet steps and seat, potties and non-slip mats.
For the grown ups out there, there is some fabulous food on offer. Beginning with a hearty breakfast to get you going, afternoon tea to refresh you after a day on the slopes and to polish it all off a 3-course evening meal with local wine and coffee included (there is FREE wine or soft drinks available with evening meals). For the kiddies, early children's meals are available.
