The two ski resorts of Meribel and Mottaret are set in the heart of the three valleys and both boast advanced and state of the art ski equipment, with high tech chairlifts and gondolas.Yet both resorts have still obtained there tradition and charm making you feel welcome and relaxed. Using the chairlifts will give you access to other ski area such as Courchevel and Val Thorens,and there is a bus service running every half an hour to Meribel and Mottaret.Whether your new to the slopes or an old novice then then you'll be thrilled with the open slopes,wooded slopes or long schusses and you can perfect your skills till early evening.
The Apres Ski scene is full of activity with numerous pubs and clubs to choose from ,some suggestions would be the Le Rond Point, Dicks T-Bar in Meribel ,and the Le Plein Soleil and Le Rastro in Mottaret.
But if you are looking for a cosy evening with just a few drinks there are some family friendly bars to, with log fires and hot nightcaps.
Both resorts are offering everybody a great range of other activities to try and there is something to suit all ages such as skating, ice hockey , snowshoeing and there is a superb modern sports centre with swimming pool, ice rink , cinema and a ten pin bolwing alley,or you could take the afternoon out and relax in the saunas in the health suite.
