The Eveline Apartments are located close to the beach and Platanes resort centre. There is plenty to do and see in the immediate area, with lots of ancient architecture, including beautiful churches, monasteries, Venetian and Turkish monuments. The area also has a breathtaking mountainous backdrop, and lots of caves to visit, as well as plenty of walks.
The beach is 600m away, and the resort centre is 300m away. Rethymnon is 6km away and easily reached by local bus, it is a good place to spend a day in the Old Town and fortress.

Holiday Review
This was our first experience of Crete and the Evelin apartments was a great initiation for us. The staff were very friendly and ensured our stay was a pleasant one. We ate out on several evenings and the main street isn't short on restaurants. The food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Quality
The apartments are very clean as is the entire complex. The pool area was lovely and also the bar area is right next to the pool. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas to shade under as the week we were there, the weather was blisteringly hot.
Service
The service provided to us was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They ensured our week at the Evelin was very relaxed and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Location
Very well situated and the main tourist area was only a 5 minute walk from the Evelin apartments. The beach is similar in distance. There is a Lidl supermarket right next door and stocks everything you need for your self catering.
Food
We didn't have much food from the complex as we went self catering but any that we did have was freshy cooked and very nice.
Entertainment
Greek bbq night is on Wednesday and good value for money.
very friendly

first time to crete andhad such great time at the eveline we came home and booked to go again six weeks later and had an even better time and still in email contact with Michael(one of the family)who has been conscripted in the the Greek army for his national service. Will return in a couple of years. Lots of good local restaurants and trips out but if you want to eat in Lidls is just over the road, really handy for water etc.
Quality
pool, rooms, bar, grounds, availability of sunbeds all good
Service
If you need anything or have aproblem just ask. a big plus was the thomson rep Julie areal star.
Location
A couple of minutes walk to the strip and a few more to the beach.
Food

Entertainment

Holiday Review
what a great place, we arrived at 4 o,clock in the morning and were met at the reception by michalas, one of the owners sons who was happy and helpful and straight away gave you the impression that this was going to be a nice place to stay. How right we were, the appts and the grounds and the pool are spotless, the brand new pool bar is excellant, the meals you can purchase all day are really huge and fresh and very good value, the family who run this hotel are superb always friendly, speak excellant english and have plenty of advise for you to make your stay truly wonderful. This is the 1st time myself and my wife have been to crete and it was the most relaxed holiday we have had for a long while. I thoroughly recommend this place, it is next door to a supermarket which is handy for all your grocery needs so you dont need to think about taking cereal etc with you,we did the samaria trip, hard work but worth it in the end,all in all this was a great place to stay and we will be going back..
