Paxos is ideal for anyone seeking a Greek getaway that offers a charming mixture of tempos and rhythms. This tiny island lies just south of Corfu; the main ports of Gaios, Lakka and Loggos offer vibrant hustle and bustle, whilst the rugged west coast has a splendid natural calm and majesty, making this a fantastic destination with plenty to see and do.
The picturesque harbours, warm, clear waters and pebbly beaches are wonderfully popular with daytrippers, passing yachts and island-hoppers alike. This pretty isle is a stunning place to relax and really unwind.
On arrival, try taking a boat trip around the island to really get a feel for the location. There are plenty of coves and larger beaches to be found here, with several charming villages situated along Paxos' each coast. Paxos is such a tiny island that the whole of it is readily accessable on foot, by bus or on taxi. The ancient olive groves are a fabulous place for a hike, whilst the coves are an idyllic place to spend an afternoon and the traditional coffee shops are wonderfully atmospheric. The daytime hotspots are often best returned to later in the day to enjoy their magic fully.
