The natural health spa of Levico is known for its mythical healing qualities, but in actual fact the resort has a lot more to shout about than the pretty lake. Levico provides traditional Italian charm at every level, from the scenery to the quaint cobbled streets. You will be able to enjoy a good deal of exploring on foot, and relaxing by the side of the lake during your holiday. You could choose to take a sightseeing tour or to explore at your own place - it is completely up to you. The town is perfect if you want to sample typical laid back Italian life and the lake is perfect for swimming and sunbathing. You will be able to totally relax and unwind amongst the idyllic scenery during your holiday, and will enjoy discovering the many local cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. The public transport system is good, with a good network of buses and trains which run regularly to Trento (20km away). You could also catch a train to Venice, travelling through the beautiful Valsugana valley.
There are plenty of walking trails you might like to try during your stay, and there are paths for walkers of all abilities! For an easy stroll try a walk along the wooded banks of the Lake Levico which will take around 30 minutes to complete. Or you could venture to the ruins of the Selva castle, which will take you about an hour.
If rambling is more your thing you will be pleased to hear that there are numerous interesting paths which include two World War One forts. Complement a full days walk to the the Val di Sella with a train ride back to Levico. In July & August the bus to Vetriolo opens up the mountain peaks to explore.
If you are a keen hiker or more ambitious walker, how about attacking a section of the long distance path which runs all the way from Venice to Lake Constance? This option will even give you the opportunity to try a section of 'Via Ferrata' for those who fancy a go at some easy climbing!

Lake Levico also has the amenities that you might still require whilst on your holiday such as Bank, Shops, Post Office, Cafes,Restaurants, Bars, and for a relaxing swim you can use the public swimming pool too.If its some more sightseeing that you want to do then we suggest the Dolomites, Castle Ivano, Venice, Innsbruck or the Mocheni Valleyall of which these excursions can be pre-booked in resort and are subject to numbers.
For a twin centre suggestion, how about combining Levico with one of Italy's bigger cities,
Lake Garda, or another mountain resort?
