The busy resort of Limone is set against the spectacular backdrop of Lake Garda's mountains and north-western shore.With a buzzing atmosphere in the village, twisting alleways ,cobbled streets and the smells of the different cuisines coming from the pavement cafes and restaurnants.Limone is fortunate to have a sunny climate and the sweet smells of the olive groves and cypress trees fragrance the air.There are some stunning walks and views of the Monte Baldo not to be missed.
With its impressive promenade and stone walled cottages ,there are some lovely evening strolls to be had,its has also catered for all the general needs that you might require and you can find a number of amentities including a Post Office, Bank, Doctor, shops and a abundance of cafes and restaurnants with something to suit everybodys tastes.Through the busiest months there is occasional outdoor evening entertainment.
Limone has an excellent and very efficent transport system with the Lake Ferry and the Fast Hydrofoil service which is operating to the other lakeside towns and regularly throughout the day.Limone also has a local bus service with connections to Milan, Brescia and Desenzano if you want to venture further a field. Holiday Reviews in Limone, ItalyIf you are a keen walker then you will be pleasantly surprised with the superb walks on offer with the promenade and lakeside walks for gentle and relaxing strolls,but to the other scale and if your looking for something a little more energetic,you can follow the trails that wind up in to hilly countryside and are very challening.There is also a programme of free walks organised by the local Limone Trust and are running from June to September.Dont forget to take your camera as there are some fantastic views and are well worth the walk.
