Nerja is a peaceful Mediterrenian town with lovely winding cobbled streets lined with uniquely moorish architecture. Surrounded by secluded beaches, hidden amongst the steep cliffs, Nerja is the perfect destination for bathing and picturesque walks on the coast. The area is famous for the multitude of caves surrounding it, which are really worth visiting. In the center of this lovely town you will find 'El Balcon de Europe' (Europe's balcony) - a promenade lined with palm trees, overlooking the fantastic views of the shore.
The town's character is really expressed through its architecture. The white-washed buildings with little iron balconies hide in themselves some amazing cafes and restaurants, serving delicious paella. The charm of the area is diluted with the multitude of activities available. From shopping to fine dining, everything is close by, making Nerja a wonderful destination for a hassle-free summer holiday. It is also easy to use this lovely town as a base for further exploration of the surrounding area as local buses and excursions are easily available.
