Kandersteg is situated 17 miles from Spiez on Lake Thun, making it the ideal spot from which to catch a train to Interlaken, Berne, Lucerne and Zermatt and with Kandersteg having over 215 miles of hiking trails to offer its holiday makers, and you will be able to enjoy a walk whatever your ability. Lifts and cable cars will transport you up the mountain in order for you to experience the most impressive scenery whilst walking.You can arrange a walking guide by the Tourist Office and purchase a walking pass locally.
