The Hotel Whitcomb is a moderate class hotel located in downtown San Francisco, near the Bill Graham Auditorium. This landmark hotel is centrally located and offers three methods of public transportation right outside the front door. The hotel has been completely renovated and is wheelchair accessible. Each room is beautifully appointed with solid wooden furniture. The award winning, Market Street Grill Restaurant, lounge, and Starbucks are right off of the gorgeously decorated lobby. Two gift shops complete the first floor, one of which books tours to, among other places, Alcatraz and Yosemite. The hotel features a fitness center and a business center, for use at your convenience. The hotel is minutes to fining dining, shopping and entertainment.

Add Your Review RSS Feed for Latest The Whitcomb Hotel Holiday Reviews The Whitcomb Hotel (American Historic Hotel)  Review by Andrew Watson from Bury on February 8, 2008 for stay during January, 2008.  Overall    Service    Room Comfort    Cleanliness    Food    Value   Tour Operator/Travel Provider: Expedia.co.uk I have just returned from San Francisco and an enjoyable 6 night stay in The Whitcomb Hotel, I was a little worried at first having read the reviews on here and other sites, however my fears were unfounded, I was checked in by a Russian lady called Olga who not only was friendly but was funny too and instantly put me at ease, she explained about the Hotels services and what was happening in and around the Hotel in the time I was staying, My only prolem was the parking as is a little steep but Parking is San Francisco's 3rd Industry after banking and tourism!! My room not only was clean it was fully modernised and well equipped the cable TV was a god send! Big comfortable bed and even though I was on the front with traffic noise I still slept well. Joined to the hotel is the Florida Garden Restaurant the food was excellent and good value too (Clam Chouder was fantastic) also there is a Starbucks attatched. The local area is suffering a little but I only saw 2 or 3 homeless people my entire stay! Maybe because Hilary Clinton was speaking across the road one night!
