I stayed in lanzaplaya apts in dec/jan 2006 on a coulpes holiday. these apts are perfect location for those wanting to be in the centre of the resort,ideal for couples and families very little walking to do. Rooms were v clean n well maintained only problem is the bathroom door is frosted glass not very private, other than that great place, will def be back to stay!!!

hotel club siroco costa teguise, a lot of clients were unhappy with the hotel, ,ok the rooms could do with being up dated, but you only sleep there, the rooms were clean,got everything you need in apartment, by the way, we were a/i so it was a bonus to us having a apartment,the food was very good, we've stopped in 4-5 stars & it was,nt as good, did,nt think much of resort to quite for us,but thats not the hotels fault, yes hotel could do with better entertainment,if we did not like what was on we would,go for a walk & find a pub where there was something on, by the way my husband & i are a young 60 year old,& enjoyed stopping @ the club siroco hotel

The hotel is a resort style layout and the site stretches approx 600 metres along the seafront. Whilst the brochure description isn't inaccurate, it is what the brochure doesn't say that is more telling. Firstly Lanzarote is quite windy, and it is impossible to sunbathe around the swimming pools out of the wind. The low rise blocks of rooms tend to channel the wind through the site. The pool areas are quite picturesque BUT the water was so cold there was hardly anyone using them. The Cosmos brochure lists 4 bars, and yes there are, but two of them are only open at night. The pool bar is the only one outside to get a drink all day ( and the staff are very surly and unfriendly ) the piano bar in reception is open all day but it is on the 6th floor, hardly convenient for sunbathing. The English pub only opens 5pm- 12pm, and the 4th bar is in the entertainment suite where all of the evening shows take place ( not open during the day ). The pool bar also serves some snacks, burgers frankfurters etc...very limited, however this bar in particular is more geared up to all inclusive guests, as there doesn't appear to be any system for people wanting to pay cash, the bar staff do not appear to be allowed to handle cash, we frequently got free drinks as there was no-one to take our money. The food was also a big dissapointment, in both quality and variety. Again the brochure says there are 2 buffet reestaurants, and there are, but they are side by side and serve exactly the same food. The only difference was that one of them rarely had any of the wine on the wine list. Each evening there was an internationally themed menu, or rather 2 or 3 dishes, with the rest of that nights offerings being identical the the previous night and the one before that. However it was the temperature of the food that was my main concern, with the hot dishes being no more than warm at best and occasionally luke warm. I even sent my main course back in the Italian a la carte restaurant as the rack of lamb was cold. As with most hotel a la carte menus it was no more than a choice of 5 or 6 main courses on a set menu. Our room was just about adequate in size but the bed was the hardest I have ever slept in ( eventually ). Surprisingly for a hotel of this size there was no shop to buy drinks or snacks and there is nothing nearer than 1 mile away. Eventually we found a small shop in the Kalimera hotel next door to get coke sprite and sweets for the children. On the whole we did have a relaxing week, but we weren't sorry to come home. The hotel does look superb at a distance but close up there are so many things that could be better."
